Toasting & Lauding Secrets of Six-Figure Women Author
Had the honor of being at the Count Me In gala event last week at Gotham Hall. Seated at my table was the ever-vivacious and dynamic Barbara Stanny, and her mother Annette, wife of Richard Bloch (of H&R Block). (I was Barbara's guest.)
I also had the pleasure of meeting a wonderful couple, Andrew Dornenburg and Karen Page, authors of Becoming a Chef and other books. They posted a picture on their blog - I'm the one in the blue suit. (As of today, scroll down to center of page, or search "stewart" on the page) : http://www.becomingachef.com/blog_june2006.php
The gift bag that night was so fun - Mally lipstick, an RLM Studio bracelet, L'Occitane savon... I understand they were all given by small businesses that strive to break the glass ceiling for women in business. It seems Count Me In is a great resource for loans and grants for your business (regardless of gender).
